Gareth Gardner Gallery is delighted to announce the upcoming exhibition Japan Nights, from 10th-19th September 2021.

Described by photographer Tim George as a love letter to Japan, the photographs show neon-drenched urban scenes in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. The series of images reinforces the artist’s obsession with Japanese cities, and examines their long-standing influence on global design, photography and architecture.

Accompanying the exhibition is a 24-page limited edition book designed by the artist – the tall format referencing traditional Japanese script and the vertiginous nature of the Tokyo metropolis. The book, along with signed edition prints, will be available during the show.

Tim George is a London-based graphic designer and photographer. He works independently from his own studio, with expertise in the architecture sector while also collaborating with a range of brands, companies and artists.

Japan Nights runs from 10th-19th September 2021, with a private view on 9th September. For more information see updates here on the gallery website, Instagram page or contact us directly.
